TaxCue

Know before you spend.

TaxCue is a mobile-first tax copilot for business owners. It helps you understand the tax implications of a business purchase before, during and after you make it, and keeps the documentation you need.

How it works

Before, during and after the purchase.

  1. 01

    Check it before you buy

Take a photo of the item, paste a product link or ask a question. Tell TaxCue whether you’re buying new, buying used or leasing, and it asks only the questions that change the answer.

TaxCue purchase check for a MacBook Pro asking for the purchase price, business use percentage and how the business is taxed.
  2. 02

    See how it’s likely treated

Get a plain-language read on the federal and state treatment for your business: what likely counts, how much, which options may apply and what you should do next.

TaxCue tax analysis showing the purchase is likely deductible, with business use, business basis and a summary of what it means.
  3. 03

Keep the records that back it up

When you buy, TaxCue saves a Tax File with the analysis you saw and tracks the receipt, dates and business purpose it still needs.

A TaxCue Tax File showing the business-use basis, 50% completion and the receipt and business purpose still required.

Ask TaxCue

Ask the question you actually have.

Ask about a purchase, a deduction, a tax rule or one of your Tax Files. Type it, or tap the microphone and ask out loud in the language you’re most comfortable with.

Built responsibly

Clear about how it reaches an answer.

  • Shows its sources

Results link to the official rules and sources they rely on, so you can see why, not just what.

  • Names its assumptions

TaxCue lists the assumptions it made and the open facts that could change an answer.

  • Knows its limits

TaxCue provides tax information and organizes records. It is not a CPA, EA or attorney, and it doesn’t guarantee how a purchase will be treated.
